JHR Developments trains sights on continuing race-winning success with British F3 entry
Multi race- and championship-winning outfit JHR Developments is delighted to announce that it will join the BRDC British F3 Championship for 2019. The programme will run alongside the team’s existing F4 British Championship entries, in which it has finished second three times in four years. This will provide young, talented drivers with a clear pathway in their single-seater careers, offering a logical graduation path as they climb the ranks.
Synonymous with success on the BTCC package, having competed on it since it began, JHR Developments has won more races and championships than any other team on the bill, and since 2015 it has taken an impressive 12 wins and 28 podiums in the F4 British Championship.
The BRDC British F3 Championship enters its fourth year in 2019, with 24 races across eight events, seven of which are co-headliners with British GT. Featuring three 20-minute races each weekend drivers can enjoy plenty of track time, and with a true reverse grid for race two, they have the perfect platform to demonstrate their racing and overtaking abilities.
The championship also boasts a highlights package broadcast on ITV4, BT Sport, and Motor Trend On Demand, and a media partnership with world-leading motorsport publication Autosport, so there is ample scope for promotion of drivers and their partners each race weekend.
“We’re very happy to be joining the BRDC British F3 Championship,” said Team Principal Steven Hunter. “It is a strong Championship which runs on an impressive package and is exceptionally well organised. We’ve travelled to a few meetings this year and have been very impressed with not only the Championship itself but also the way that it has been put together.
“We are currently utilising our bespoke, in-house simulator which mirrors the on-track performance of the cars, so drivers will be able to gain knowledge and develop their skills in conjunction with a comprehensive on track test program.”
Two cars are currently being prepared at the team’s Dronfield base ahead of a winter testing programme which will begin in Spain in early December. JHR Developments is already in discussion with several competitors about the 2019 season and will make announcements in due course.
