Mexican star returns to F4 British Championship with JHR Developments
Manuel Sulaiman will return to the F4 British Championship for 2018 with the multi-title winning JHR Developments team he contested selected rounds last year. The 17-year old from Puebla, Mexico is backed by the prestigious All Road Management team.
Sulaiman was only able to contest selected rounds in the UK in 2017 owing to commitments in Mexico, but still managed to claim an impressive first podium finish on the Brands Hatch GP circuit at the end of the season.
“I am delighted to return to race in the F4 British championship,” said Sulaiman. “It is the toughest F4 championship in the world with the current level of drivers and is where I want to compete, as racing with the best talent makes you raise your game. To be able to return to JHR Developments is brilliant, the team’s determination to win is incredible.”
The JHR Developments team is delighted to welcome the youngster back for another year. “It is fantastic to have Manuel return to us for a full championship campaign,” said Steven Hunter, Team Principal. “It will enable him to build on the success he gained at the end of last year. There is no doubt in my mind that Manuel will be at the front end of the grid all year and he has his sights set on bringing home a lot of silverware.”
The F4 British Championship season begins at Brands Hatch on its Indy circuit with qualifying at 09:00 on Saturday April 7. The opening two 20-minute races of the season take place that afternoon at 14:15 and 17:40, with the third live on ITV4 at 15:05 on Sunday April 8.
